Snoods are used to protect our dog's ears when eating and other
occasions. Spaniels are mostly the ones in need of snoods, but if you
have any long eared dog a snood will be helpful. Snoods keep the dog's
ears clean and without mats.
While some dogs may initially object to wearing a snood, they will very
soon learn the "No Snood, No Food!" rule and will happily wear their
snoods at mealtime and keep those beautiful ears clean.
Our beautiful snoods will keep those lovely floppy ears clean during
breakfast, lunch and dinner. They are all hand sewn by volunteers. using
the highest quality fabrics.
Each
snood is handmade in the USA of highest quality hand-washable cotton or
silk in a variety of beautiful colors and prints, with soft,
comfortable, stretchy lingerie elastic on each end sewn into a pocket
forming a ruffle. Having the elastic in a pocket prevents any breakage
of coat and prevents the friction of exposed elasatic on fur, which can
cause matting.
Our snoods are approximately eleven (11) inches from end to end, and the
special elastic around the openings measures twelve and one-half (12.5)
inches unexpanded, and expands comfortably to sixteen (16) inches, with
a roomy circumference of approximately twenty (20) inches.
The typical cocker measures about thirteen (13) inches around the neck,
right behind the ears. If you require a smaller or larger snood, please
